Her Courage

Double image of a woman reflected in a mirror with her first raised and the reflection looking out the window on the sunrise between buildings
To hold her head up high
While the arrows and slings
Gather at her feet
Tales of battles raged
Insults and vitriol lay like branches
Kindling for fires of hate
She stands in the midst of flames
Courage her shield
Honor her armor
As she dies a little inside
Just by trying to live
