Left Behind

I wonder where they're going to go,
The ones who we gave up on too soon,
The ones who we passed by,
Those left behind when we left the room.

I wonder when those hearts will heal,
When the tears will finally dry?
Will they find their happy place,
After we said goodbye?

I wonder when their hearts will mend,
Their eyes see skies of blue,
When their rainbows come out,
After we became their thunder boom.

I ask this not for myself,
But for others’ sake, for I for one
wonder where and when,
I'll find myself left behind.
