Not your typical love story. In fact it’s not a love story at all.
Reviews:
**If you’re looking for a quick one, to get the job done, this is for you. I assumed the main character would have been a man but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a woman. I don’t think the story could have been told with a man main character…it wouldn’t have had the same effect. But I wanted more/better for Karen lol. She deserved better.
**Wonderful short with a surprising twist. Seduction, story, heat, this short had it all.
**This story had me eager for the outcome. Deep down I didn’t want things to pan out as they did — that is, I didn’t what happened to happen. I wanted the woman to come out the victor. (Once you read the story, you’ll get what I mean.)
I am, however, pleased with the overall plot despite my personal preference. It kept me wanting to continue flipping the page out of eagerness.
I could also place myself in “Karen, with a K” shoes. It was as if I were her; Sitting at a bar alone, drinking away my loneliness while suddenly being approached by a somewhat cocky gentleman who offered an irritating smile. I would more than likely cave in just for that moment of pleasure.
You never know what you are capable of when you haven’t had affection in a long time.
