The line between Triumph and Defeat is just one more

The line between Triumph and Defeat is just one more.

Just one more step
And you’ll be out the door
Just one kiss and she’ll be forever yours
Just one night is all we had
Just one more dream fulfilled
Before I’m dead
Just one more bite; it’s wafer thin
F8ck off I’m full
Just one more time I’ll let you in
My heart won’t break, not again
Just one more dollar
And just one more again and again
Just one more thing and I’ll be happy
Just one more minute
I’m afraid our time is up

The line between Triumph and Defeat is thin but just one more and you’ll win

This is for a dVerse prompt: today’s prompt is to write about that thin line between triumph and defeat.

The line between defeat and triumph is like I said often just that one last push that gets us over the edge. And sometimes that one more, that looks to get us to triumph is just one more step on a long road. Hope you enjoyed the poem.
