Can I Coax Your Love?

How can I coax love from thee
Kisses and sweet words fail
Hearts and chocolate pale
To grant affection towards me
What can this affliction be
That leads to such a woeful tale
Are your feeling so frail
That yearning can not see

This was for a dVerse prompt: Pen us a poem of precisely 44 words (not counting the title), including some form of the word coax. Hope you enjoy!

    1. Some, others just don’t know how. Then again you’ve got those who notice but don’t acknowledge. Relationships are hard. 😖 Thanks for the read Bjorn. 😊

  1. Some individuals are clueless when it comes to the coaxes of romance. Maybe be a little more direct? (and give Cupid a generous bribe) 🙂 I feel sorry for the person, as they are going to have to work a little harder for possible reciprocation. Nice write to the prompt word, Stew.
