Garden House

Egon Schiele, House with a Bay Window in the Garden (1907)
The garden house
At the end of the yard
On the property
Owned by the Schiele’s

I spent my youth
Playing around the garden
Hide and seek
In the mansion of our vila

Now I sit
Outside the gate
Upon the road
With a bottle of tequila

Watching flowers grow
Beneath the shade of trees
Seeing my memories
Of my childhood Shangri-la

This is for a dVerse prompt: Choose one of the artworks in this post, and compose a poem in any form of your choosing.

I chose the image above, “House with a Bay Window in the Garden”. I hope you enjoy.😊
